Nissan
Skyline R32 GTR
Nissan’s
flagship model the GTR was reborn in 1989 and was dubbed the name Godzilla
by many because of its all conquering performance. In fact its performance
was so dominant in motor racing around the world that racing rules and
regulations had to be changed. To compete in Motor racing penalties
were brought forward including added Weight or RWD only but the GTR
still remained more than competitive. The Nissan Skyline was so dominant
in the Australia touring championship that, turbo, and all wheel drive
cars where banned.
In standard
form the Nissan Skyline GTR looks subtitle considering its performance
is comparable to car manufactures like Porsche and Ferrari. A more aggressive
front end, larger rear spoiler, body-kit, and pumped guards are the
only real differences in the looks department compared to the nissan
skyline GTS-t. The interior remains similar but includes some extra
gauges and up-graded cluster.
The Nissan
Skyline GTR is full of techno wizardry such as, advanced four wheel
drive (ATTESSA) and steering (HICAS) systems which greatly improve handling
and grip levels. Large brembo brakes have you stopping quickly, and
the RB26DETT engine is awesome. Featuring a six throttle manifold, twin
cams, twin ceramic turbo's, and a large front mounted air to air intercooler.
The factory claimed 206kw is a joke the actual figure is much closer
to 260kw. Heaps more power is available with just a few minor modifications
and it has been said that the Nissan Skyline engine is strong enough
to handle 600hp.
