Turbos

HKS are a Japanese company who make many turbo kits for the nissan skyline and many other performance cars. HKS turbines are based Garret turbos but in-house research is done by HKS to further improve the turbo for its application. It should be noted that HKS are very modest with there power output figures.

The HKS GT-SS is a very responsive turbo and a great upgrade for a R32 GTS-T (RB20DET) Nissan Skyline, 200 to 220rwkw is possible. The HKS GTSS turbo is also a great upgrade for the GTR, the turbos bolt straight onto the stock exhaust manifolds and are good for 300+RWKW.

The HKS GT-RS is a great turbo upgrade for the nissan skyline R33 GTS25-T (RB25DET) and the R34 GT-T (RB25DET neo). This turbo gives a great compromise between response and outright power, 250rwkw to 270rwkw can be expected with this turbo, some have seen 300rwkw. Twin GT-RS turbos can be used on the skyline GTR, response is not as good as twin GT-SS turbos but they have great potential to make big power up to 400rwkw may be possible.
